CPI (Consumer Price Index)
The main monthly measure of US consumer price inflation. Surprises can move gold within seconds.
It usually comes out once a month at 8:30 New York time. A higher figure than expected can raise expectations for interest rates, which often weighs on gold. A lower figure can do the opposite. These are tendencies, not rules.
